Poonam Kaur on Rahul Gandhi controversy

The other day when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi entered Telangana as a part of his Bharat Jodo Yatra, what caught the attention of all is actress Poonam Kaur's presence and also Rahul Gandhi holding her hand. This triggered a huge controversy with BJP and others blasting Rahul Gandhi. BJP leader  Priti Gandhi drew comparisons of Rahul Gandhi's act with his grandfather Jwaharlal Nehru, known for having illicit relationships. She posted " "Following the footsteps of his great grandfather!!"."

Poonam Kaur replied back posting "This is absolutely demeaning of you , remember prime minister spoke about #narishakti - I almost slipped and toppled that’s how sir held my hand .". BJP leader's comments triggered war of words with Congress leaders tearing apart.

Jairam Ramesh called Priti Gandhi a 'warped and sick mind' while Pawan Khera posted "You need treatment, your mental state can prove harmful for your family and friends," Supriya Srinathe posted "Yes he is following in the footsteps of his great grandfather - and is uniting this great country of ours. That aside, your childhood traumas are deep and a proof of your sick mind. You need treatment."
