Siva Karthikeyan is a star in Tamil and he is also a well known Hero in Tollywood. His recent films Varun Doctor and Don did considerably well in Telugu. With the success of Varun Doctor Siva Karthikeyan got confidence to explore Telugu market and Prince was announced as a Tamil - Telugu bilingual. With noted Production houses Asian Films, Suresh Productions bank-rolling the project and Anudeep after delivering blockbuster Jathiratnalu directing this film, Prince generated some buzz initially.
Most of the audience are under the impression that it's a major Telugu film with a Tamil star which will caters to Tamil audience too. But, the entire scenario changed upside down once the trailer got released. Except for the Producers and Director the entire cast and nativity is in Tamil flavour. There is not even a single aspect of Telugu film. Prince which is billed as a bilingual film until then suddenly came out as a dubbed film. This disappointed many who were curious about the film until then.
The trailer cut is also poor and didn't created any impact. The entertainment seemed out of the place. Though it is as per the demand of the story, the unknown heroine is also failed to grab the attention. Songs by Thaman failed to get registered. All these factors are affecting the booking status of Prince. The film is having very low buzz at the moment. Only a miraculous word of mouth can save the film.
