️⃣ First of all, it is a grave blunder to remake a cult classic like Oscar winner Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump.

️⃣ Aamir Khan, many felt would suit the role of Tom Hanks. However, his expressions, body language, and emotions did not inspire any confidence. All his expressions looked like repetitions from his previous films like PK. His expressions and dialogue delivery looked comical and instead of entertaining, started irritating viewers.

️⃣ Kareena Kapoor looked old and no amount of VFX could make her look younger. This is the same in the case of Aamir Khan. Their chemistry did not set the screens on fire.

️⃣ Naga Chaitanya played an unglamorous role on their debut in Bollywood. All his dialogues with Aamir Khan are related to only underwear and this did not amuse any. Akkineni fans got a huge shock and Naga Chaitanya's debut turned out to be disastrous and an utterly unforgettable affair.

️⃣ Advait Chandan and Atul Kulkarni boasted that they have worked for more than ten years on the story. However, though they made a few subtle changes it did not click in any manner. The characters of Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya for all the tall claims failed to connect chords with the movie lovers. The story, screenplay, and direction went for a toss.

️⃣ Changes in the story highlighting the important incidents in Laal Singh Chadda's life to that of the political developments did not appeal to all. The way was recruited into the Indian Army is completely illogical. While in Forrest Gump the makers justified Tom Hanks's recruitment into the US Army as the US government at that time forced even the mentally retarded people to join the army for the Vietnam war, there is no such logic in the remake.

The story went on and on and everything turned out to be clumsy in the end. Overall, Laal Singh Chadda signaled the end of Aamir Khan's mastery and artistic excellence and it turned out to be a poor remake of Forrest Gump. If Tom Hanks and the makers of the original watch it, they will surely commit suicide. Aamir Khan should come out of such typecast monotonous looks, and expressions to come out with better output and better films in the future.
