The 75th annual Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to take place from May 17 to 28 this season. A noteworthy development in the context of Indian cinema has unfolded ahead of the festival. Pooja Hegde has been invited to represent India at the prestigious film festival. She is the first female pan-India actor to get the invite. 

The actress, who has been on a rise in the Telugu film industry, is now in the company of fellow star actresses Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Priyanka Chopra in joining the Cannes festival. After her senior colleagues walked the red carpet and attended the celebrations of films across the globe in the past, Pooja Hegde is kicked about doing so this year.

Come May 16, Pooja will be flying to France, later which she will be attending the festival on the 17th and 18th of May.

Her itinerary includes blissful participation in the after-party that hosts some of the most celebrated actors worldwide. 

Pooja's fans are expecting her to flaunt her flawless fashion sense as she wows shutterbugs and cameramen walking the ramp. After all, Pooja's sartorial sense is unmatched. 

The invite to the 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' and 'Radhe Shyam' actress means that Indian cinema is receiving an honourable representation at the Cannes festival this year. The actress will be joining the discussions around Indian cinema. 

On the work front, the beauty has Superstar Mahesh Babu's 28th film in Telugu. She is gearing up to shoot for 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali' (Hindi) with Salman Khan and dive into the promotional spree for Rohit Shetty's 'Cirkus' (Hindi).
