Actresses marriage and divorce: South vs B-Town

The shocking divorces among film celebrities are becoming the bone of contention among movie lovers. Recently Samantha parted ways with Naga Chaitanya. Many blamed Samantha for the divorce as they felt that Samantha's bold scenes were the reason behind Naga Chaitanya parting ways with her. A few years back Amala Paul parted ways with AL. Vijay. But what is common in both Samantha and Amala Paul's case is after divorce both Amala Paul and Samantha started doing bold roles.

This makes one feel that after marriage, actresses in the south lose their freedom. Her inlaws, husbands ask them to do traditional roles or quit acting. Mahesh Babu's wife Namrata quit acting after marriage though she won the Miss India crown. Jyothika quit acting after marrying Surya. Only recently she started acting once again and is doing homely roles.

This is unlike in Bollywood where actresses turn bold after marriage. Aishwarya Rai did a special song Kajra Re after marriage with her husband Abhishek and also her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan. Priyanka Chopra did bold roles and became even bolder after marrying Nick Jonas. Deepika Padukone is shocking all with her intimate scenes and says her husband Ranbir Singh is loving them. This shows that despite the south claiming that they are outgoing in their thought process, they are quite conservative and traditional compared to Bollywood. This is the reason behind increasing divorces among actresses.
