King Nagarjuna dared to be different and released his film Bangarraju during Sankranti festival when all other films backed off. With no competition as such. Bangarraju turned out to be the Sankranti winner. The film went on to create few records at the box office. Nagarjuna's Bangarraju directed by Kalyan Krishna is a sequel for his hit film Soggade Chinni Nayana.
Nagarjuna romanced Ramya Krishna while Naga Chaitanya joined Bangarraju and romanced Kriti Shetty. The film had five glamorous beauties Fiara Abdullah, Seerat Kapoor,Meenakshi Dixit, Daksha Nagarkar,Vedika Darshana Bhanik to entertain movie lovers.
The film collected Rs 76crs gross across the world which happens to be the career best for Nagarjuna. The film collected Rs 12crs in Ceded alone and also did good business in Nizam region. Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya thrilled all movie lovers and especially Akkineni fans during the festive season.
