Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Acharya got postponed indefinitely and this came as a shock as mega fans and movie lovers have been waiting for the film's release on February 4, 2022 for a long time. The announcement on Sankranti disappointed everyone. This came at the same time, when the makers of Mass Raja Raviteja's Khiladi confirmed the film's arrival on February 11, 2022.
This is making people wonder about the secret behind Acharya's postponement as it came right after Chiranjeevi's meeting with AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss problems related to the industry. Many are wondering whether Chiranjeevi suspects Jagan's upcoming actions though Chiranjeevi while expressing confidence that the problems will be resolved in a fortnight or so and CM Jagan responded positively.
Rumors have been floating that the AP government will soon impose a night curfew and also 50% occupancy in theatres. Already requests are going on from various quarters that night curfew be imposed after midnight so as to enable theatres to screen extra shows. Other rumors have it that owing to coronavirus cases, AP may announce complete closure of theatres just like the Tamil Nadu government.
Many feel that YSRCP is planning to tarnish the image of Chiranjeevi by not coming with any positive decision and so they planted the rumor that Chiranjeevi is seeking an RS MP seat as quid pro quo. Chiranjeevi however rubbished all the rumors. Chiranjeevi decided to postpone Acharya as he expected a favorable decision from the AP government in a fortnight and by then it coincides with Acharya's release date. If the favorable decision doesn't come, the last-minute postponement will result in huge losses to the makers. If the favorable decision comes, Raviteja's Khiladi will take full advantage and then the makers of Acharya can plunge into action. Chiranjeevi decided to adopt a wait and watch policy as he suspects AP CM Jagan.
