The film industry is extremely lucrative and the glamor associated with it makes it extremely competitive. Apart from talent and looks, people require immense luck to attain stardom. Except for a few, it is extremely difficult for newcomers without any support to make a name for themselves. To the top of it, achieving success as an actress is a tough task and the lifespan is also very less.

Under these circumstances, it becomes hard for aspiring actresses to attain fame in a short time. To the top of it, one failure will brand them as iron legs and with industries going with sentiments, it is pertinent on them to make optimum use of the opportunities. It seems newcomers are chanting 'lip lock' mantra for success.

Anupama Parameswaran who till now confined herself to traditional roles surprised all with her lip lock in her upcoming film Rowdy Boys which features a debutante Ashish Reddy, nephew of star producer Dil Raju. Kriti Shetty has been doing youthful bubby roles and even while doing traditional roles she is indulging in bold scenes. None can forget her debut role Uppena romancing Vaishnav Tej. Though she played a traditional role she did a bold scene in a song and now in Shyam Singha Roy, she surprised with her lip lock with Nani. Now Nidhi Agerwal is romancing Galla Ashok, brother-in-law of Mahesh Babu in his debut film Hero and even she indulged in a lip lock.

But many feel though lip locks get them instant recognition and media limelight, it all boils down to performance.
