Entire Tollywood has been badly affected with the AP government headed by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's decision to slash the ticket rates drastically and also ban the additional and benefit shows. Many thaetres are closed in Andhra Pradesh and despite repeated requests from Tollywood, the government is hellbent on having its way.

Under these circumstances, the question is who will bell the cat? The first to speak against the issue was Pawan Kalyan and at that time except for Nani and Karthikeya, all others distanced from Pawan's statements fearing the wrath of the AP government. Despite this things did not change.

Chiranjeevi held many discussions and so too did Nagarjuna. Both held a couple of meetings with AP CM Jagan but nothing came out of it. Following this few theatre owners approached the AP High Court and got a stay on the Government order. However, what followed next, resembled a witch hunt forcing many to close the theatres just ahead of Nani's Shyam Singha Roy's release. Once again Nani spoke against the AP government's decision.

Ram Gopal Varma of late has been making attacking statements against the AP government but the AP government is looking the other way. Chiranjeevi who got vexed decided to shy away from the responsibility. Amidst all this MAA President Manchu Vishnu is maintaining a stoic silence. However, his father Mohan Babu suggested the entire film industry to meet and beg AP CM Jagan. However, this is near impossible as Jagan will give an appointment if he wishes only to a few people.

This is complicating things and Tollywood is on the brink of becoming extinct in AP. Only AP High Court can bell the cat. But AP government conveniently uses the loopholes by getting adjournments. All eyes are on AP High Court and in the midst of all this Jagan's meeting with Supreme Court Chief Justice NV.Ramana triggered speculation.
