The moment the Elections for Movie Artistes Association (MAA) is rumored to be held in September came out, the environment in the film industry heated up. With each passing second, various stars threw their hat in the ring saying they will be contesting the elections. This made many wonder whether candidates will be more than the voters. What is surprising is so many stars showing interest in Maa Elections where less than 1000 votes are there.

Already four people Prakash Raj, Manchu Vishnu, Jeevitha, Hema are contesting elections and a few more may come up soon. Reports are coming that Sai Kumar is also planning to contest. His entry will turn the contest into an interesting battle. But some say, there will be confusion as to who voted for whom. This is increasing speculation whether there is any conspiracy behind so many contestants entering the fray.

Currently, Prakash Raj, Vishnu, Hema, and Jeevitha are in the fray, and if Sai Kumar enters it will be five. So five panels need members and each panel should have 20 members. Here itself 100 votes will be divided in five different ways and one is not sure how many will use their voting right. None of the Maa Elections witnessed 100% voting and to the top of it, coronavirus scare is there. One cannot predict the situation in September.

Analysts feel under these circumstances there is no use in fighting for the MAA posts. The happenings in the industry make everyone realize that there is a group battle going on and sometimes actors got exposed in public. Caste issues, egos, etc completely changed why MAA was established in the first place.

One need not remind what happened during Rajendra Prasad, Jayasudha battle, and Sivaji Raja and Naresh battle. This is triggering rumors that MAA post has something big behind it. The more the candidates in the fray, those who are propping them from behind will win the battle easily by dividing the votes. Some are of the opinion that ultimately it will be colored as a battle between Chiranjeevi and current president Naresh.

Till now everyone felt that whoever gets Chiranjeevi's support, they will win. But if candidates increase, cross-voting may happen. Currently, Naresh has 105 votes and rumors have it that whoever he supports gets those votes. So Naresh may decide the winner this time. All in all, every vote may turn precious and a single vote may decide the winner this time in Maa Elections
