T-TDP chief Ramana to jump to TRS!

In what could be a huge blow to the Telangana Telugu Desam party, it’s president and the last notable leader in the party, L Ramana is likely to join the ruling TRS party. From the reports we hear that ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Jagityal MLA Sanjay Kumar are negotiating the terms with Ramana.

Apparently there are reports that Ramana has decided to leave TDP as he believes that the party is almost dead in the state. Accordingly he was receiving offers from TRS and BJP. But Ramana is showing a lot of interest in TRS and his ex-colleague Errabelli offered him an MLC seat too.

Very soon under the MLAs quota, six MLCs and under Governor quota one MLC positions are to be filled. Ramana is offered an MLC from either of the quotas and having received a proper assurance, he is expected to meet his followers and supporters to decide on the future political plans.

By inducting Ramana, TRS is in thoughts to checkmate Etala Rajender who recently quit the party. Ramana hails from BC community and that way TRS wants to balance the community equations within the party.

If at all Ramana joins TRS, it’s all over for TDP in Telangana and it would be interesting to see how Chandrababu Naidu reacts. Ramana has been a close of Naidu for years but this decision to leave TDP might upset the main supremo.
