It seems the YSRCP unnecessarily committed a historical blunder by arresting the rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju. Even if they arrested the MP, the AP CID shouldn't have physically manhandled Rrr as the issue has taken a very serious turn and the ruling party is likely to receive a serious blow at the end.
Going by the reports, the Supreme Court ordered the YCP government to take Rrr to Military Hospital, Secunderabad. The Apex Court directed that the medical treatment of Rrr should be videographed and the treatment must be monitored by a judicial officer appointed by the Telangana High Court
Beforehand, the AP govenment's advocates insisted that Rrr would be given medical treatment at AIIMS, Mangalagiri. However, as the administrative tribunal of AIIMS, Mangalagiri has two MPs from the ruling party, the court ruled out the plea.
On the other hand, the Apex Court obliged the wish of Rrr to be treated in the military hospital, Secunderabad. And his stay at the hospital shall be treated the judicial custody.
The Supreme Court, however, deferred the bail petition of Rrr to Friday and directed the government to file a counter petition by Thursday.
