Amazon Smart Deal With Jathi Ratnalu

KV Anudeep’s Jathi Ratnalu is having dream rum at the box office since its release from March 11.  The film left Naveen Polishetty and the entire team emotional and euphoric for minting gold at the ticket window. The film has so far reportedly collected Rs 36.17 crores  ( Rs 59.50 Cr  gross).

The film will now be releasing on OTT platform Amazon Prime reportedly on April 10. IT may be recalled that Jathi Ratnalu was supposed to release last year but owing to the pandemic the film got postponed. Anudeep had revealed that they got good offers from OTT platform Amazon Prime during lockdown.

Amazon Prime reportedly offered Rs 18 crores as the OTT deal but producer Nag Ashwin in order to give the audience theater experience didn’t struck a deal. Now, Prime bagged OTT rights for Rs 6 crores. So it is a win-win situation for both as Prime has bought for one third as the film got released long back. And since the mania surrounding Jathi Ratnalu continues, Prime has struck a good deal.
