Amala Paul is a celebrated actress for her prolific work in various genres. The diva has always been vocal, outspoken and never minces words. Currently she is getting applauses for her work in Meera Telugu anthology, Pitta Kathalu, directed by Nandini Reddy.
Amala continues to say that the reason for her to accept Meera was she doesn’t want be in ‘regular’ mode. As an artiste she wants to explore different subjects and scripts like Meera which shows the reflection of society she feels happy to be part of it.
Nandini Reddy’s Meera talks about the woman who is a abusive relationship in marriage. Relating to the character Meera, Amala recounts her bitter divorce with filmmaker AL Vijay in 2017. She says that none came to support her when she was going through her personal crisis. “During my separation, I was told my career would get derailed and since I am a girl despite being a successful actor, I was told I should fret,” she says.
She continues further stating that she doesn’t want to live in a fake illusion that things will get alright. She doesn’t want to put the fake thing out.
