Can Uppena Survive With This Hype?

Small to medium range films need all the hype before the release to bring audience to theatres. But, sometimes, over expectations on a film play spoilsport. It seems the makers of Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty starrer Uppena directed by Buchi Babu Sana under Mythri Movie Makers are under pressure with heavy expectations on the film with the songs becoming chartbusters and trailer getting thumping response.

Initially, there was no big buzz on the film until Nee Kannu song was released. Devi Sri Prasad came up with one of the best songs in recent times and it got hundreds of millions of views. The other songs from the film, including recently released Jala Jala Jalapaatham Nuvvu too became super hits.

Teaser and then trailer were released in short gap and both got overwhelming response. More recently, pre-release event of Uppena was held with megastar Chiranjeevi attending it as a chief guest. Many star directors graced the occasion to wish Vaishnav Tej and other team all the best.

After the pre-release function, Uppena has been making huge noise. When they are still doubtful about how people will receive the pathetic ending, the heavy expectations are bringing headaches to the makers.

Only strong content with engaging narration can only save the film with such great hype around it. The film is up for release on February 12th.
