Rayalaseema Utterly Rejects Zombie Reddy

When there was an objection raised over the title of Zombie Reddy, director Prashanth Varma to end up the controversy came up with a clarification and assured the ‘Reddy’ community that, his film will make them proud and he added saying it shows Kurnool and its people in a good light. The film starring Teja Sajja released on Friday to utter disappointing reports from critics and audience alike.

Zombie Reddy collected below par collections in first two days and with negative mouth talk the film is unable to bring audience to theatres even in its first weekend. As per trade analysts, tough days are ahead as the film with unenthusiastic reports may enter deficit in first week itself.

Interestingly, Prashanth Varma and team hoped that the film would do well in Rayalaseema region as the story was set in faction backdrop. However, the way faction elements are showed seems to have disappointed the people of the region who utterly rejected the film.

Zombie Reddy has collected just 35 lakhs in two days in Ceded area. Overall, the film minted Rs 1.8 Cr for two days in Telugu states. Made on massive budget, it’s a hurricane task for the film to recover the investment. It may be mentioned here that, it’s a own release by the makers through GA2 and UV.
