Boney Insults Rajamouli, Drags Bahubali

Ever since SS Rajamouli announced the release date of his upcoming multi starrer RRR featuring Ram Charan and NTR, producer Boney Kapoor whose film Maidaan is clashing with RRR has been attacking the ace director.

After branding Rajamouli as an unprofessional and accused him of branding unethical, Boney has now chosen to insult Rajamouli by dragging his Magnum Opus Bahubali. It is known that Rajamouli once revealed that during the initial stages of Bahubali, he planned to cast Sridevi, wife of Boney, in the role of Sivagami. He said however Boney played the spoil sport by demanding huge remuneration and also a share on Bahubali profits. Her said Sridevi also demanded entire hotel to be booked for her staff.

Now, with Rajamouli maintaining silence over RRR and Maidaan clash, Boney dragged Bahubali into it. He said, “Producer Shobu Yarlagadda had offered Sridevi a fee that was less than what she had got for English Vinglish [2012]. So, we let the film pass."

Sridevi also at that time went on record that if she demanded huge remuneration and remained unprofessional, Kamal Haasan and K Raghavendra Rao and other filmmakers wouldn’t have worked with her.

Boney said when he called Rajamouli regarding the release dates; he washed off his hands saying distributors pressurized him. He added he is in the industry for many years as a producer and distributors cannot pressurize filmmakers. Wonder what Rajamouli got to say about it!
