After reports of director Shankar of being issued non-bailable warrant went viral, Robot filmmaker has now reacted. Shankar issued a statement stating that no such arrest warrant has been issused against him.

Shankar also added that he was shocked to see such false reports in circulation that too being verified. His post reads, 'the reference to any warrant has apparently occurred due to a glitch in the online court reporting, which is presently being corrected.'

The row started after writer Arur Tamilnadan accused Shankar of plagiarism his idea and turning into a movie Enthiran starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai. The film released in 2010 churned out moolah for the producers. The writer has said that his work titled Jiguba was first published in 1996. The case is on for over 10 years with no conclusion yet.
