Sankranthi happens to be the biggest film festival. Top stars entertain on silver screen, records tumble at the box office and fans get the ultimate festival treat. However, all that are missing during this Sankranthi.
In the aftermath of coronavirus, many expected that theatres will not open and there will be no theatrical releases. But with theatres operating with 50% occupancy, films like Ravi Teja's Krack, Vijay's Master, Ram's Red and Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas Alludu Adhurs are releasing during the festival.
People say none of these films can pull up people to the theatres and had there been stars films, they wouldn't have got the slots. It has to be seen how effectively these stars use Sankranthi season.
Many are of the opinion that had Pawan Kalyan starrer Vakeel Saab released during Sankranthi, it would have shattered many records. Seems Pawan Kalyan missed a golden opportunity.
However, some others say that, it’s not right to release high budget films under these circumstances with only 50% seating occupancy. Moreover, fans will not feel happy as it is tough to break previous records.
