Indian skipper Virat Kohli unnecessarily invited the wrath of his followers on Twitter. On account of Diwali, Kohli conveyed greetings to people through a video byte. However, he advised people not to burst crackers.
"Please remember that do not burst crackers. Protect the environment. Simple diya and sweets for this auspicious occasion," Kohli advised people. This message proved how hypocrite Kohli is. Post the final match of IPL, crackers were bursted extensively, however, Kohli didn't advise the organisers to stop bursting crackers.
Having watched Kohli's message, netizens started trolling him.
"Do not burst crackers?? Have you not seen crackers during ipl final?? Christmas or new year?? At that time you will keep silent, but you will give your selective gyaan during Hindu festivals," a twitterati tweeted.
One more tweet reads, "jaa na environmentalist..yeh sab IPL Final, New Year, Christmas par nahi dikhta...bas diwali pe gyaan dena hai sabko."
"This is our festival not your environment awareness program...," another tweet reads.
