Legendary hero thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Mahanati Savitri's performances made 1953's Devadasu one of the all time classics of Tollywood. This industry hit film stands the best among the romantic tragedy films of Tollywood. 

It's a known news that Young Rebel Star Prabhas and dazzling beauty Pooja Hegde's Radhe Shyam is being made as a period romantic entertainer. If the ongoing reports are anything to go by, the film ends on a tragic note. As such, the film falls under the genre 'Romantic Tragedy'. Obviously, the film reminds us of the classic Devadasu film. Whether the film would live up to the standards of Devadasu or not is to be watched on big screen.
