RGV Missing Golden Opportunities

Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma once came up with technically brilliant films. After the sensation of Shiva with Nagarjuna on debut, he bowled Bollywood with films like Rangeela, Company, Corporate and Sarkar series.

Everyone knows that he depicts real-life incidents on the silver screen in the most realistic manner such as Rakta Charitra series, Killing Veerappan, and Vangaveeti. But all that changed and after losing his sheen, he is coming up with third grade films like Climax etc. and he is getting ready to unleash films like Naked on social media.

However many feel he is missing golden opportunities to show his power in Bollywood. It is known that patriotism sells in Bollywood and RGV's earlier film on Mumbai attacks, The Attacks of 26/11 won the critical acclaim. But for some reason, RGV missed many golden opportunities.

While Neeraj Pandey came with films like The Wednesday, Baby, etc, and after the Uri Attacks and surgical strikes, Aditya Dhar came with Uri-The Surgical Strike and many filmmakers are coming with films on Balakot airstrikes, Ram Gopal Varma for some reason went into silent mode.

Even after Indo -China conflict and the martyrdom of Colonel Santosh Babu, Ram Gopal Varma did not announce a film on it but instead on Father's Day announced a film on honor killings based on Pranav murder, Maruti Rao's suicide and Amurhta 's love affair and marriage with Pranav.

He titled the film Murder and came with the caption 'Kutumba Katha Chitram'. This shows that he is out to create controversies and hog the media limelight rather than come with interesting films.
