Andhra Pradesh witnessed the largest number of fresh Coronavirus positive cases. The state recorded 425 new cases taking the tally to 7496 while two more patients died since the last 24 hours.
According to a health bulletin released by the state government, a total of 13,923 samples were tested from 9 am on Wednesday to 9 am this morning and of which 425 persons diagnosed with COVID-19.
Out of the 425 fresh positive cases, 299 belonging to the state, 100 cases are migrant workers and 26 were foreign evacuees. Large number of cases were reported in Anantapur (62), Kurnool (50), West Godavari (38), Krishna (28), Nellore (26), Kadapa (23) and East Godavari (18).
As many as 131 patients, including 51 people who returned from other states and 3 foreign returnees are recovered from the virus and discharged from the hospital in the state in the past 24 hours.
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the state stands at 3,632 (2,779 from Andhra Pradesh, 611 and 242 from other states and foreign returnees respectively.
