Exact Reason For These Biopics Getting Delayed!

Since longtime, biopics trend is seen across the country. Mostly biopics on renowned sports celebrities are coming to entertain movie lovers. Bollywood makers mastered the art of making sportspersons biopics. Baagh Milkha Bhaag, Mary Kom, MS Dhoni attracted everyone.

South filmmakers are also trying to come up with biopics of sports persons. However things are not going in a favourable way. Sudheer Babu for long has been trying his best to come up with a biopic on badminton legend Pullela Gopichand for more than three years. One doesn't know the status of the biopic.

Plans are also on to make a biopic on badminton player Saina Nehwal. This did not take off and same is the case with biopic on PV Sindhu. Now an announcement of biopic on weightlifter Karanam Malliswari is made.

For the biopics, lead role is important. Most of the biopics are not going ahead as the makers are having doubts about the viability. In the meantime Karanam Malliswari makers announced the project without finalising the lead cast. The names of Nithya Menon, Rakul Preet Singh,Taapsee Pannu did rounds. Nithya however rejected the offer. Many feel Nithya would suit for the role. One cannot imagine Taapsee or Rakul in such roles.

One has to see whether Malliswari's life has all the emotions and drama required to connect chords with the movie lovers. It has to be seen how the makers move ahead.
