The closure of theatres ever since the Lockdown due to coronavirus for the last two months is forcing the film industry to look for alternatives. OTT platforms are giving them a new ray of hope, especially for the small filmmakers who couldn't wait for long.

Some star filmmakers and producers are also contemplating to release their films on OTTs. In the midst of all this, reports are coming that OTTs bad omen is scaring everyone.

Though OTTs are tempting them with crazy and attractive offers, many producers from other languages are coming forward to explore them. Amazon Prime already acquired more than 7 films and is planning their release.

Recently Telugu film Amrutharamam and Tamil film Ponmagal Vandhaal released on OTT. The first ever Telugu film Amrutharamam on OTT turned out to be a disaster though it got a good craze before its release. Had Amrutharamam got a good response, many filmmakers would have taken the offers from the OTTs. With Tamil film, Suriya's wife Jyothika's Ponmagal Vandaal too not getting a good response, OTTs bad omen is scaring everyone.
