The spreading of coronavirus pandemic in India upset the academic schedules and examination timetables merely in the country. While board examinations for classes 10 and 12 have been deferred by two months, national and statewide entrance examinations for various degree courses have also been pushed to the months of July and August.
Obviously, there will be the delay in the start of next academic year.
The AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has resolved to get the Schools in the state reopened on August 3. A G.O. in this regard is awaited as a formal confirmation. In the meanwhile, the CM has also ordered the officials to make sure the completion of construction works in Schools under Nadu-Nedu scheme by the end of July. District collectors will have to review the day wise progress of the works done under the scheme.
On the other hand, the government has also decided to launch pre primary classes in 3000+ Schools across the state.
Furthermore, the government wants to convert all Schools into English medium. However, the verdict of the Apex Court is awaited.
