Tollywood Luckier Than Other Industries

Coronavirus struck a deadly blow to all industries across the world. The Indian film industry is witnessing losses in crores due to the stalling of shootings and releases.

But a close look at the industry shows that Tollywood is a little better compared to other industries. During the first three months, if we analyze the performances, only Tollywood got good hits compared to other industries.

Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramloo turned out to be super hits at the box office. Later Bheeshma turned out to be a hit and Palasa also entertained movie lovers and did well commercially.

Tollywood witnessed a few decent hits. But Kollywood and Bollywood did not see any hits. In Bollywood Tanisha turned out to be an average grosser. Though few more films released, none of them succeeded. None of the big heroes’ films released in Kollywood and small budget films disappeared without a trace. The same is the case with Mollywood and Sandalwood.

There is no guarantee that films would release this year. So Tollywood will end this year with good collections.
