When Telugu Singer Stunned Foreigners

When Neil Armstrong and Alwyn landed on Moon in 1969, legendary singer Pb Srinivas composed and sang an English song 'Manishi Chandrudi Pai Kaalu Mopadu'. It was released as EP record at that time.

The then US President Richard Nixon and astronaut Armstrong wrote letters to PB.Srinivas showering praises on him. Americans who heard Pb Srinivas' song in 2006 compared him to popular US singer Jim Reeves.

We come to know Pb Srinivas has the special talent 'rounded even warm baritone with verve and clear voice resonance (ring)'. S Janaki also sang with PB.Srinivas.

Not only in Telugu but no singer from other languages made such an attempt. This showed the extraordinary and exceptional talent of Pb Srinivas.
