Reason for Attack on Republic TV Editor-in-Chief

In what could be said a huge shocker to the media circles, Arnab Goswami, the editor-in-chief of Republic TV, was attacked by two men whom Goswami alleged AICC's president Sonia Gandhi's goons. The incident took place at the dead of the night at 12:15 am while Arnab was on his way home along with his wife. 

Goswami alleged that the two men who were chasing his car tried to break the windowpanes with the sticks brought by them. The two men were caught by the security of Arnab later while Arnab and his wife remained unhurt. A case was lodged on the two persons. 

Post the incident, Arnab released a video message in which he launched a scathing attack on Sonia Gandhi. Alleging the men who attacked on him were the goons of Sonia Gandhi, Arnab made it clear that it was his legitimate questioning on Sonia for not being reacted on the Palghar Sadhu lynching, that prompted Sonia letting his boys attacked on him.

What is the reason behind the attack on Arnab Goswami? For this question, Arnab's supporters say two sadhus and their driver were lynched at Palghar on April 16. After the brutal incident, there was no single word of condemnation on the issue mouthed by Sonia Gandhi and the Congress activists. Instead, they tried to paint communal colours on the BJP. Also, the Congress party and the CPI allegedly tried to support particular group so as to be in good books of them. 

"Arnab is learnt to have questioned Sonia Gandhi on her silence on Palghar lynching. This factor might have irked Sonia and her loyalists and which eventually led to the attack on Arnab," the supporters of Arnab Goswami added.
