Saaho: Prabhas Is The Main Curse!

Mammoth growth in Prabhas stardom post Baahubali’s international hit seems to have become the big curse for Saaho. Yes, the Sujeeth directorial released this week opened to tremendous BO response but word of mouth publicity is doing principal damage retarding collections. When tried to find out reasons behind Saaho becoming a bag of blunders with its confusing screenplay, we learnt something really shocking. 

Saaho’s script and budget was locked prior to Baahubali 2 release. Though Baahubali was big hit, Sujeeth and UV Creations never thought of deviating from Saaho’s original script. All it was done after Baahubali 2 saw an unlooked for result piling up Pan Indian star image for Prabhas. This is where UV Creations and Prabhas not only hiked the budget but also put multiple hands into script trying to make Saaho a sound film for Prabhas as follow up to Baahubali 2.

May it be the unwanted action blocks, pointless characterizations, unnecessary episodes and unused big artists… everything done merely to showcase the grandeur and make Saaho on par with Hollywood action dramas has misfired miserably. If at all, Saaho is made on simple lines like what Sujeeth and UV does for Run Raja Run, today Saaho’s result would have been on other side.

Burdened to match Baahaubali 2 standards on every front, UV Creations taxed themselves and rolled out a confusing product. Changes in script and production design during mid part of filming will lead only to disappointments. Saaho is a perfect example…
