Upasana Unlocks Chiru Secrets

Mega Power Star Ram Charan's wife Upasana, daughter in law of Mega Star Chiranjeevi, unlocked the personal and professional secrets with these following questions and Chiru responded to them in his own style.

Upasana: How did you escape unscathed without injuries even after horse rides, jumping from the forts, sword fights in Sye Raa

Chiru; It is quite natural for lot of stress and strain during shooting time. However my passion for acting helped me overcome it easily. I do not allow stress come near me. Another thing, while doing action scenes, I never think of my age. I never had doubts whether I can enact this or that stunt. I can do anything for a film, be it sword fight, jumping on to the horse and another risk.

When one watches Sye Raa, they understand that I did all those stunts without any body double. Taking risks depends on our mind. It all depends on us on how we project ourselves. If you are strong at heart, you will not lose your self confidence.

Upasana: Why should youth watch this film?

Chiranjeevi: Sye Raa is important for youngsters as well. If we are enjoying the fruits of freedom, it is due to the sacrifices made by our older generation. We are slowly forgetting them in the name of fast paced life. When we come to know about their sacrifices, we get carried away with various emotions. We develop goosebumps on hearing their freedom fights. Sye Raa reminds people that today's freedom is because of their sacrifices.

Upasana: Your experience in being part of this prestigious project

Chiranjeevi: Any actor will be happy being part of such a great film. It is very important to recreate the sacrifices made by the people of that generation. If after watching the film, youngsters decide to become more patriotic and respect the freedom, Sye Raa's objective would be achieved. The film will bring the gap between the current and the older generation. It is a great feeling to release the film on Gandhi Jayanthi on Oct 2nd.

Upasana: Ok Mavayya.. Let us talk about our house... Can you share the secret about Chiru Dosa and Chiru Coffee which became integral part of our day to day life? Firstly about coffee…

Chiranjeevi: The entire credit for coffee goes to your Attamma Surekha.. Surekha used to stay in Madras which is popular for tasty filter coffee. Surekha's daily routine starts with good filter coffee. At the first, I did not like coffee. However with Surekha's magic I became a coffee lover. While staying in Madras she used to get roasted coffee seeds from Nilgiris. Even after shifting to Hyderabad, she continued getting coffee seeds from Nilgiris and using the same coffee powder. That is the reason why everyone loves coffee made in our house. 

Upasana; Now about tasty Chiru Dosa

Chiranjeevi: While coffee credit goes to Surekha, dosa credit goes to me. Chiru Dosa is my invention. I happened to taste a dosa in a small hotel in Chikmagalur when I went to shooting. I never had such tasty dosa till that time. I contacted the hotel staff and asked the owner about the dosa recipe. However they refused to say saying that it was their traditional dosa. However I somehow decided to find the secret.

I told Surekha about the dosa after going to house. Both decided to find out the recipe. We did many experiments, but in all our trials we made mistakes. But during failures one gets to hit the right path and the same thing happened. Finally we prepared a tasty dosa. It came even better and tastier than Chickmagalur dosa. We made soft oil less dosas. While in Chennai, film stars sometimes used to come to our house and taste dosas. They include Prabhu Deva, Jayasudha and others.

Upasana: Chikmagalur hotel owner did not reveal the recipe secret. Did you share your dosa secret to anyone?

Chiranjeevi: Chutney's  restaurant owner had dosa in our house. He then asked whether he can include it in his menu. I happily agreed and sent my chef to them to train them in preparing the dosa sharing the dosa recipe secrets. They named the dosa as Chiru Dosa. I am happy that people across the world are relishing Chiru Dosa in Chutneys. 

Upasana: Will you listen to Attamma's advices? What does she say about your films?

Chiranjeevi: I always listen to Surekha's suggestions. She is a good critic and tells the plus and minus points in my movies. After watching the film she tells whether the scenes are up to the mark or not. Surekha is not only a super star's wife and a great mother but also the daughter of great legend and actor Allu Ramalingaiah. So I always consider her as a star. 

Upasana: Who is your role model regarding fitness?

Chiranjeevi: Many are my role models when it comes to fitness. In Hollywood Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarznegger are my inspiration. In Bollywood, I love Amitabh Bachchan. Same is the case with Murali Mohan.
