Raviteja, Mahesh, Bunny And Now Ram

Dashing director Puri Jagannadh who once made super hits had to sit idle for some time when no star hero showed any interest to work with him. He dared to introduce his son as hero with Mehbooba under his own production. But, Mehbooba also ended as flop, putting bi pause to Puri’s career.

However, Puri Jagannadh didn’t disappoint and he came up with a mass entertainer iSmart Shankar with young and energetic star Ram who was also going through lean phase. Besides directing, Puri also bankrolled the project in association with Charmme Kaur.

iSmart Shankar is a regular commercial film. But, movie buffs enjoyed hero’s characterization, Puri mark dialogues and heroines Nabha Natesh and Nidhi Agerwal’s glamour. The film is turning out to be a double blockbuster and it is now a turning point for Ram who is gearing up for sequel for iSmart Shankar titled Double iSmart.

But, before Ram, Puri Jagannadh gave break to many stars. Mass Maharaja Raviteja entered big league with stupendous success of Idiot. Earlier, the duo delivered a hit with Itlu Sravani Subrahmanyam.

Pokiri starring Mahesh Babu was an industry hit. In fact, Pokiri is one and only industry hit for Mahesh Babu who later collaborated with Puri for Businessman which ended as an above average grosser.

Puri also delivered hits with Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and NTR with Badri, Desamuduru and Temper.
