As and when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed the office as a CM, it was widely speculated that he would encourage defections from TDP. A big number of MLAs and MPs from TDP were expected to join YSRCP.
YS Jagan, however, made it clear that he wouldn't encourage such defections. "If at all any MLA from TDP wants to join YSRCP, he would resign his post first and should be ready to go to by-polls," affirmed Jagan.
Apparently, it's not Jagan, but PM Narendra Modi is crushing TDP for a valid reason. Rumours are rife that four Rajyasabha members from TDP are in talks with BJP high command to join the party. Besides, many more MLAs and former ministers of TDP are all set to join BJP.
It must be remembered that TDP's chief Chandrababu Naidu broke the alliance with the BJP and resorted to Goebbel's propaganda against Modi with the help of his yellow media. CBN did fake deekshas seeking special status. Balakrishna used filthy language on Modi and is buzzed to have abused the PM's mother. Moreover, CBN publicized union government's schemes as his own schemes. Above all, he had a tie up with TDP's life time rival Congress party triggering vendetta politics against Modi.
As a result, Modi might have gone furious over CBN's conspiracies on BJP. Resultantly, BJP has taken up a mission to make TDP disappeared from AP's political picture.
