Secret Behind Maharshi Dominating Bharat!

Makers of Maharshi who still are celebrating success claim that the silver jubilee film of super star Mahesh Babu is dominating even Bollywood films at multiplexes, including Salman Khan’s Bharat.

The average weekend occupancy of Maharshi at national multiplex from 14th to 16th June is 54%, wherein Bharat has just 39% occupancy. Taapsee Pannu’s Game Over, Akshay Kumar’s De De Pyar De and Aladdin had the average occupancy of 40, 36 and 47% respectively.

How could Maharshi dominate Salman Khan starrer film even in its seventh week? Here comes the real secret behind this. Actually, Maharshi is screening in limited screens and most importantly it is removed from many centers across the world. Only in Nizam, Maharshi is faring decently.

Point to be noted here is they mentioned percent of occupancy, but not the box office collections. So, average occupancy will typically be high if a star hero film is screened in limited number of screens.

On the other hand, Salman Khan films are not targeted at multiplex audience. They usually do great business in single screens.

As we reported earlier, Maharshi business is coming to an end in almost all the centers.
