When Sridevi Gave Shock To Super Star

Movie lovers and fans of yesteryear actress Sridevi hail her as the first lady super star of India. Of late heroines draw crores as remuneration but during 70s they used to get in thousands.

During those days itself, Sridevi got higher paycheck than super star Rajiniknath. Sridevi, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan starred in Moondu Mudichchu under the direction of K Balachander.

The film turned out to be a blockbuster in the 70s. Sridevi got Rs 5000 as her remuneration while Rajinikanth got just Rs 2000. But Kamal Haasan got more than Sridevi and Rajinikanth. He got a whopping Rs 30000 as remuneration.

Kamal got that remuneration as he was already an established star while Sridevi and Rajini were trying to find a footing in the industry.
