Ram Gopal Varma who is known for his controversial deeds and words interacted with the scribes in Bhimavaram in West Godavari district ahead of his film Lakshmi's NTR release. It is known that Lakshmi's NTR release was stalled as TDP supporters approached the court and election commission for showing TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu in a bad light.
RGV speaking to scribes made some stunning statements about Super Star Mahesh Babu's milestone film Maharshi. He said, “I don’t know the plight of the farmers as I did not go to a farm till now. No one would have seen Maharshi but for the presence of Mahesh Babu in it. That is the difference between Maharshi and many other films which raised the farmers' plight earlier."
On Lakshmi's NTR he said, “The film's release was stalled as the release would have exposed their lives with the facts in the film". As a parting shot he came with a satire saying, “I came in a car as my cycle tyre got punctured. I will not come in politics as I don’t have any intention to serve the people."
