Every industry follows a trend and it seems Tollywood at present hit a new success formula with almost all filmmakers and stars following it religiously. Whether the directors are under impression that classes through press meets will set cash counters ringing, almost all the films are now having speeches in their climax scenes.
In super star Mahesh Babu's milestone film Maharshi, he takes a class singing praises of the farmers in a press meet. Even in his previous films Bharat Ane Nenu he was seen taking class to media and in Srimantudu too he took another class. Even Allu Sirish who is struggling to score a hit too gave a lecture in the climax of his film ABCD. He spoke about the difficulties of middle class families.
In Nani's Jersey too, Nani's son too takes a class in the climax. Those who watched the film felt like it was like a mini personality development class in the end. In Naga Chaitanya's Majili and Sai Dharam Tej's Chitralahari, these are not there but fathers of heroes take classes at every given opportunity.
Irrespective of the method, all of them worked out well at the box office. However one shouldn't be under the notion that just by taking classes through press meets or in other form will automatically mint money at the box office. But seeing writers’ behavior, it seems they are hell-bent on forcing those scenes in the film.
Earlier, such scenes used to be there in couple of films but now in all films it is becoming a common phenomenon. Even Mega Star Chiranjeevi is not immune to this trend. Starting from Khaidi No 150 and if we go to the past to Tagore, he took many powerful classes. However at that time, other heroes did not continue the trend.
