Tollywood super star Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi is turning out to be a commercial hit. The film is close to Rs 80 Cr share mark worldwide and it is third film of Mahesh to reach the mark after Srimanthudu and Bharat Ane Nenu. Now, demand is huge for the remake rights of the film in other languages.
Buzz is that, Kollywood star Vijay will star in Tamil remake of Maharshi. It is also heard that, Bollywood super star Salman Khan may star in Hindi remake of the Vamshi Paidipally directed film. Producers are planning to screen a special show for Salman Khan. He will watch the film along with Prabhu Deva who is currently directing the star in Dabangg 3. If Salman likes the film, Prabhu Deva is likely to direct the remake version.
It is known that, Salman Khan earlier starred in the remake of Mahesh Babu’s industry hit film Pokiri. Prabhu Deva directed the Hindi version Wanted which was a runaway hit. The film indeed provided much needed break for Salman who was going through lean phase before signing it.
Let’s see whether Maharshi bowls Salman or not!
