Legendary actor turned politician NT Rama Rao not only enjoyed a huge fan following among masses as a star for whom nothing was impossible but also many worshipped him as a God for his roles as Lord Krishna, Lord Rama etc.
He did portray many mass roles and danced in several mass songs and one such song is Chilaka Kottudu Kodite in his blockbuster film Yama Gola. The song shot on NTR and Jaya Prada created a sensation during those days.
Choreographer Sreenu recollecting the shooting experience said, "We were shooting the song near a village in Nellore. NTR with great intensity and hard work completed the dance movements choreographed by me. I Okayed the shot. But NTR came near to me and told, 'Mallee okasari cheddam brother'. I said okay and he once again completed the dance movements.
When I okayed the shot, he asked 'Indakatidi Bagunda? Ippatidi Bagunda'. I told 'Ippatide Bagundi Sir'. Then he asked 'Mari. alantappudu intaka ela okay chepparu?' I was left searching for words muttering 'sir...'. He then placed his hands on my shoulders and told 'Eppudoo compromise kavaddu brother… memu cheyadaniki siddamga unnamu kada.'
