Mega Star Reveals Don Secrets

Bollywood Mega Star Big B Amitabh Bachchan played versatile roles to show his power at the box office and steal the hearts of all. He even did a special role in Akkineni multi starrer Manam and is now doing a powerful role in Mega Star Chiranjeevi's upcoming entertainer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.

None can forget Big B's blockbuster film Don. Revealing few secrets about the film, Amitabh stated, "’Don’ was a title that no one in the market approved of. They never understood what it meant and never felt that a name such as 'DON' was material for the title of a Hindi film. In fact, if truth be told for many it was quite an amusing title.

After the release of Hollywood classic "Godfather", the title 'Don' became "respectable". Much later, of course, with the 'Godfather' series the word garnered enough publicity and reckoning, to be respectable enough. But till then, initially, it was in the realm of humor.”

Even NTR faced similar opposition when he suggested the title for the Telugu remake. He was then forced to settle for the title Yugandhar. Rajinikanth too named the film's Tamil remake as Billa. However both the films did not succeed at the box office.

Shah Rukh Khan, Prabhas and Ajith remade those films once again but only Shah Rukh's Don did well at the box office while the others bite the dust.
