Taran Adarsh, one of the senior trade analysts of India, seems to be quite pleased with the way a Hollywood film Avengers Endgame is performing at the Indian Box Office. He in over enthusiasm posted that; the last of Avengers series has broken Baahubali: The Conclusion’s highest first week collections. He also listed top first week grossers in India.
Interestingly, he included collections of all the films in all languages, wherein he posted only Hindi version collections of Baahubali 2. In fact, Baahubali 2 is still the highest first week grosser with a nett of Rs 545 Cr, wherein Avengers Endgame collected Rs 260.40 cr, which is not even half of what Baahubali 2 collected. Apparently, Taran’s intention was to proclaim that finally Baahubali 2 record is broken.
Shobhu Yarlagadda, one of the producers of Baahubali, slammed Taran Adarsh for his unfair analysis on movie collections. “Not to take away the success any of the films listed below, I don't think this is a right comparison and doesn't put things in perspective especially from veteran trade analyst like yourself! BB2 one language (predominantly North India) vs all other films all languages pan India,” tweeted he.
