Noted film and theatre actor Srinivasa Deekshithulu breathed his last on the evening of Monday at his residence. Born on 28 July, 1956, Deekshithulu worked as a lecturer at Repalle, Guntur district before he had chosen acting profession.
Deekshithulu shot to fame with his priest role in Prince Mahesh Babu's Murari. Afterwards, he played prominent roles in films such as Indra, Tagore, Athadu etc.
As a theatre artist, he played crucial roles in famous plays such as Shakuntalam, Keelu Bomma and Maa Nanna Kavali.
Deekshithulu also held responsibilities as the head of the well known acting school Akkineni Institute of Media Acting at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad.
