Creative director Krish left Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika, a biopic on freedom fighter Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, to concentrate on Natasimha Balakrishna's biopic on his dad NTR. Krish hoped that he got a golden opportunity to reach the next level of stardom by directing NTR biopic and in the process ditched Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika.
Whatever may be the arguments from Krish that he left only the patchwork, the hard reality is he left Manikarnika for NTR biopic. However NTR biopic's first part Kathanayakudu turned out to be a disaster despite getting positive reviews. Kangana Ranaut made changes to script according to her liking in Manikarnika after Krish left. Despite getting mixed reviews, the film is doing well at the box office.
Suddenly Krish started making sensational allegations against Kangana Ranaut who was enjoying her vacation in Switzerland and was not there to respond but the filmmakers and her sister Rangoli responded to Krish's allegations.
However the affect of Kangana's reactions will be completely different as she is known for her bold and frank talk. Kangana after her return to the country reacted strongly over Manikarnika controversy and blasted Krish for the same.
Kangana launched a blistering attack questioning Krish asking "I say everything openly. We wanted to show Krish the film in the month of December but he never showed up. In fact, he was so sure that the film is completely destroyed and how can anyone revive it. But when I did it and the minute he saw it, he went like, ‘its my film, its my film’ which is okay since the credit is with him but the question is – why do a media trial? Why can’t he meet me and tell me his concern? He never met me, never addressed his concerns or never responded to the invites me and my team extended to him for the screening.
Also, all these character actors who are claiming that they were promised something but did not get it, they are secretly messaging me, ‘Oh, we were told you will get to do solo interviews’ this and that. I blocked them because, ‘Are you trying to butter both sides of the toast now?’ So, these people have agendas. I personally feel that if you have sincere respect for work like I, Ankita, Prasoon or Shankar feel, they will not go out in public and attack the film on such an important week. This is sabotage that these people are doing."
Now many are wondering whether Krish would have bothered about Manikarnika had NTR biopic turned out into a super hit. Many say Krish ditched Manikarnika extremely confident that NTR biopic will turnout into a historic hit and a master piece. He completely ignored Manikarnika though he was fully aware of the developments in the Manikarnika sets. Now after Manikarnika turned into a hit and Kathanayakudu turned out to be a disaster, he started fighting for the credits.
What many are forgetting that Manikarnika too got mixed reviews and if Manikarnika does not cross Tanu Weds Manu 2 collections, what it achieved at the box office.
