Sukumar is an atypical filmmaker known for making films with different themes and characterizations. The genius maker always tries his hand at dealing challenging subjects starting from his debut directorial Arya to his last movie Rangasthalam.

After delivering a super hit 100% Love, Sukku came up with his ambitious project 1 Nenokkadine. The film starring super star Mahesh Babu botched to get the appreciation of audience, though one section of people extolled the director for his intelligent writing and direction.

Sukumar tasted success with his maiden production Kumari 21F for which he penned the script. He then directed young tiger NTR in Nannaku Prematho which was an above average grosser.

But, Sukumar became most sought after maker after Rangasthalam that featured mega power star Ram Charan in the role of a village guy who has a hearing impairment. The film was a regular revenge drama in period backdrop. But, Sukku made it look like a different and engaging one with his exceptional taking.

Rangasthalam is a game changer for Sukumar who previously failed to make huge commercial blockbusters. More importantly, star heroes are keen to work with him and he is asked to introduce youngsters from star families under his production house.

Sukumar who will next be directing Mahesh Babu in a film to be bankrolled under Mythri Movie Makers has lined up couple of production ventures and one amongst them will be to introduce Sai Dharam Tej’s brother Vaishnav Tej.

Sukumar is not really investing on any of these projects, but he will get his share from profits just for fine tuning the scripts penned by new comers.
