Many Telugu heroes tried their hand in other language films, but most of the trails ended up as failures. After tasting bitter results in Tamil or Hindi, Telugu heroes stopped experimenting and stuck to Telugu cinema. Star heroes like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan etc. have bad experiences in other industries.

Young and happening hero Vijay Devarakonda too tested his luck in Kollywood with NOTA. Directed by Anand Shankar, the political drama film turned out as a debacle in Telugu as well as Tamil. Many expected Vijay will never sign a Tamil film and he will focus only on Tollywood.
