Stunners About NTR, Pawan Kalyan

Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma is known for his penchant to hog the media limelight with his controversial statements. During promotions of his upcoming entertainer Bhairava Geetha which is releasing on Nov 30, he came up with the stunners on NTR, Nagarjuna, Rajinikanth and Pawan Kalyan.

On Comparing Bhairava Geetha with Rajinikanth's 2.0 and branding 2.0 as a kids film, he said, “I am doing it just for publicity. What's wrong if I call 2.0 a small children's film. Even elders can watch children's films."

On Officer, crashing Nagarjuna's hopes, he said, “Film is not dependent on anyone. Had we knew the mistakes earlier; we wouldn't have made the film. I and Nag believed in the story and even after the film's shooting we were confident. People may come up with numerous reasons for the flop of Officer. I shouldn't tell as I directed it. Had we known the mistakes we would have rectified them."

On his relation with Nagarjuna after Officer, he said, "When we both believed in the story, there's no point in blaming each other. Anything should have been discussed on the sets and we never had any differences. We make films with utmost responsibility. If the film turns successful, people say, he was in his limits or else they curse them"

On NTR biopic and his Lakshmi's NTR, he said, “I am not doing Lakshmi's NTR because I did not get chance to direct Balakrishna's NTR biopic. I liked this part in NTR's life. I see lot of drama and emotions in it. As a director I have the right to choose the story according to my interest. NTR biopic and Lakshmi's NTR do not have any similarities. I am not telling anything new and am showing what everyone knows."

On getting permission from Lakshmi Parvati or contacting Balakrsihna, he said, “I did not show the script and will not also. There is no point asking anyone to shoot after showing the script. If I shoot something else after showing the script, what will they do? I asked Laskhmi Parvathi to give permission if she has faith in me."

On his comment that he will vote if Pawan Kalyan contests elections, he said "Sometimes I come up with such statements and one shouldn't take everything seriously. I never voted in my life and will never vote in future. My life does not change drastically whoever is in power. I don’t know politics and don’t have time to do so. However I am interested in US politics and I was the first to predict Trump's victory."

On MeToo movement, he said "I am not the only one in the MeToo accused list. Everyone say Ramu is like this and that but Bollywood is shocked with my names missing in the MeToo list. Those who claim to be innocent will get caught first. I talk about thighs early morning or come up with gilms like GST. What else can anyone accuse of me about?"
