As of now, Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Janasena appeared to be a deciding force for upcoming general elections. Political analysts feel that Pawan Kalyan would become the kingmaker.
However, having gone through some interesting calculations made by psephologists, Pawan Kalyan can have the potential to be the king as well.
For an instance, Janasena is heading for a clean sweep in East Godavari. Megastar Chiranjeevi led PRP got a vote share of 30.22% during the 2009 general elections and occupied second position in vote share in the district.
The Congress party, which was headed by late CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy, got slightly better vote share than PRP with 33.85%. TDP had to be satisfied with 27.35% vote share.
However, the Congress party is said to be much stronger than YS Jagan's YSR Congress party. On the other hand, TDP is facing an immense anti-incumbency which may result in its vote would fall even below 20%. Based on these assumptions, psephologists are speculating that Janasena would win a minimum of 15 MLA constituencies out of 19 in the district.
It maybe quizzed why only East Godavari's status of Janasena is mentioned while other districts are ignored. There is a strong belief that whichever the political party wins a majority of MLA seats in the district would automatically win the election battle at the state level. and the previous elections' statistical data disclosed this fact.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan is all set to enter East Godavari through Janasena parade at Dowleswaram barrage on October 15.
