Finally, Prince Mahesh Babu's 25th film title has been confirmed as Maharshi on the eve of the star's birthday. It's undoubtedly a flawless and wonderful title. 

30 years ago, there was a film titled Maharshi starred by Raghava and Shanthi Priya and was directed by Vamshi hit the screens. The film turned out to be a musical hit with Ilayaraja's evergreen tunes. 

Music lovers, even today, like to listen to the songs of Maharshi such as 'Maatarani mounamidhee', 'Sumam prathi sumam sumam', 'Saahasam naa patham' and 'Konalo'. 

Now that Mahesh Babu's film title has also been confirmed as Maharshi, a benchmark for music director Devi Sri Prasad has been set by Ilayaraja composing the most memorable songs. Let's see how well numero uno musician of current generation accepts the challenge of Ilayaraja.
