Rock Bottom Openings for Kaala!

If the US trade reports are anything to go by, here comes a huge shocker for Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's Kaala. The other day Kaala was premiered in the US in maximum screens including all languages. 

Leaving a shocker to everyone, the film minted just $600K through premieres in all languages. This is almost 1/3 of Rajini's previous offing Kabali which accumulated $1.95M through its premieres. 

Right from the announcement of the project itself, Kaala has been carrying least expectations and the openings and the rock bottom openings proved how low key buzz the film had maintained. Let's await if the makers would go for aggressive promotional campaign to to ensure the movie get record openings in India. 

Pa Ranjith has directed Kaala under hero Dhanush's Wunderbar Films. Santhosh Narayanan composed tunes. Huma Quereshi, Eeshwari Rao and Nana Patekar played other crucial roles in the movie.
