Ever since assembly poll results were out, an interesting drama has been being played by all leading political parties of Karnataka state. As BJP fell short of 9 seats for the magic number, Congress and the JD(S) started their game plan.
It was thought the Congress and JD(S) combo along with a few independent MLAs would take the total seats tally to 116. Besides, JD(S) chief Kumara Swamy was offered the Chief Minister post by the Congress party.
But then here is an ultimate twist from BJP's CM candidate Yeddyurappa. A couple of minutes ago, he announced that he would swear in as the CM at 11:30 tomorrow, amidst the required number of MLAs to form the government. The governor will be invited by the BJP leader shortly.
It's being speculated that BJP has got the support of some Congress and JD(S) MLAs. True to the speculations, the Congress party's meet was attended by just 50 MLAs out of 78. Let's wait for more interesting developments in Karnataka politics.
